Training Methods - Flexibility Training

Today we are looking at the different type of stretching you can perform to improve your flexibility:
  • Static
  • Active
  • Dynamic/Ballistic
  • Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF)
Once Mr Bidwell has given an account of the lesson last week, you should write what you have learnt about the different types of stretches. The videos below may help you too. You should include the following in each of your descriptions: diagrams/pictures, main features of the stretching, benefits of the technique, disadvantages, frequency (how often) you should perform
